Copper Alloy High Lead Tin Bronze C93200

Product Data Sheet – Copper Alloys

Bronze Alloy – High Lead Tin Bronze UNS-C93200 – Leaded Phosphor Bronze

Brass and bronze are alloys of predominantly copper with additions of zinc, tin, nickel, lead, etc. Unlike brass alloys, bronzes have a tin content addition.

Also known as a high leaded good corrosion resistance bronze alloy, C93200 is most commonly know as a bearing bronze and has excellent machining properties, high hardness, strength and wear resistance for a bronze alloy. Plus, it exhibits excellent anti-friction qualities. Due to its high copper content, this bronze alloys is not subject to dezincification corrosion and be classified as a DZR bronze alloy. This copper leaded tin bronzes have good resistance to corrosion in seawater and brine conditions.

This bearing bronze is ideal for pump and valve components. C93200 bronze is suitable for bearings, bushings having medium loads and speeds with adequate lubrication.

The absence of silicon and aluminium makes this copper and tin bronze alloy not a silicon bronze nor an aluminium bronze.
